Driving
to Hopi from Interstate 40:
Highway
77 begins east of Holbrook, and joins Highway 264
just east of Keams Canyon. Highway 87 begins just
east of Winslow and joins Highway 264 at the base
of Second Mesa. Highway 264 is the only paved road
on the Reservation from east to west. The road begins
in the east at Highway 666, a few miles north of
Gallup, New Mexico, and ends in Tuba City/Moenkopi,
Arizona. All of the Hopi villages are accessed to
this road.
An
additional paved road, Route 2 connects with Route
15, 48 miles to the south, to link Kykotsmovi with
Flagstaff.
